This report examines the approach taken by municipal institutions to address the phenomenon of informal settlements in Kosovo. It documents progress made as well as some shortcomings that continue to affect the rights to adequate housing and participation while also offering some recommendations on how to address these shortcomings.

This paper provides an analysis of sentencing practices of Bosnia and Herzegovina's courts in domestic violence criminal proceedings, based on the Mission’s monitoring findings. After a review of relevant international standards and the national legal framework on domestic violence, it analyses in detail: the types of sanctions applied, the mitigating and aggravating circumstances considered by the court, the legal mechanisms of warrant for pronouncement of sentence and plea agreements, and compensation awards to victims. It also formulates a number of recommendations for judges and prosecutors dealing with domestic violence cases.

The handbook provides an in-depth analysis of ten fundamental human rights, such as the right to life, right to fair and equal treatment, the right to liberty and security of person and others. The book highlights the origin of those rights and history of their evolution, it explains their meaning and presents an overview of liability for violations. The handbook uses interactive methods to meet the needs of primary (6-12 years) and secondary (13-18 years) school children. Special attention is paid to practical exercises designed to help children understand the nature of human rights in practice. The publication is aimed at teachers, professors, lawyers and all those interested in human rights seeking to raise awareness of human rights among children, and is not available in English.

This publication provides the overview of legal framework and religious freedom implementation practice and activity of religious organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic. The information collected is intended to facilitate improvement of religious freedom legal regulation considering constitutional norms and the international commitments of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the request of the Lithuanian OSCE Chairmanship, the Borders Team organized a Seminar on “Applied Issues in International Land Boundary Delimitation / Demarcation Practices”, which gathered experts, border officials, lawyers and diplomats from over 20 participating States.
