A factsheet on ODIHR's activities in Ukraine

Corruption is one of the most pervasive and pressing issues of our time, threatening security, peace, and prosperity across the OSCE region and around the world. Preventing and combatting corruption, as well as promoting good governance, remain fundamental elements of the OSCE’s comprehensive approach to security. This progress report outlines the OSCE’s on-going efforts to translate commitments into tangible actions in fighting corruption, focusing on our work’s impact on the ground.

This practical guide is designed to assist authorities at different levels in improving the management of fishing areas and enforcing the Law on the Protection and Sustainable Use of Fish Stocks. It provides a comprehensive overview of the legal framework for prosecuting illegal fishing activities, highlights best practices for effective fishing area management and outlines mechanisms to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The guide offers clear procedures for identifying and addressing irregularities, as well as judicial measures for handling violations. Additionally, it contains different case studies and recommendations for strengthening inter-agency co-operation and enhancing co-ordination in the implementation of fish stock protection measures. The publication is available in Serbian language.

The concept of a gender-sensitive parliament rests on mainstreaming gender equality right across the work of a parliament, including in its representative, legislative and oversight functions. The OSCE Mission in Kosovo training on Mock Court Reporting for young and aspiring journalists and law students from all over Kosovo aims to provide them with first-hand experience in court reporting. They will be instructed on best practices for gathering information and communicating with justice officials and vice versa. The training will be followed by a concluding workshop, as a platform to discuss lessons learned and derive conclusions and recommendations.

This publication explains gender equality in political life in terms of access, voice and transformation and provides guidance on how to conduct a national assessment of gender equality in political life and on how to develop a national action plan based on the findings of the assessment.

The Guide for Municipal Officials on Personal Data Protection and Access to Public Documents is intended for municipal officials who manage access to public documents and the protection and processing of personal data. In 2024, the OSCE and the Information and Privacy Agency in Kosovo launched an initiative to enhance the capacities of these officials through a series of regional workshops. These efforts culminated in the creation of this publication.
