Loss of biodiversity threatens our food supply, recreation and tourism industries, as well as our sources of timber, medicines and energy. In addition, the loss of biodiversity disrupts essential ecological functions, which may render the conditions of life on the planet unsuitable for humans. Therefore, preserving the diversity of living organisms on Earth is a prerequisite for human survival and sustainable development of civilization. Ecological monitoring of biodiversity in 2023 was conducted on lakes Muynak Bay, Sarbas (Rybachie), Mezhdurechie, Dzhiltyrbas, Karateren, Sarykamysh (Southern Ustyurt). Ecological monitoring of biodiversity is conducted by the Agency of IFAS jointly with the Karakalpak Research Institute of Natural Sciences, with financial support from the OSCE.

In the framework of its “Family Crime Prevention” project, the PCUz developed a toolkit for the judiciary on the methodology of working with victims of domestic violence and with potential offenders to protect the rights of victims to handle domestic violence cases more efficiently. The toolkit determines what domestic violence is, what its specific signs and patterns are. This toolkit covers international standards and national legislation to counter domestic violence, women's access to justice and specific court cases along with international good practices on tackling domestic violence. Toolkit for police officers on the methodology of working with potential offenders and preventing acts of violence to protect the rights of victims of domestic violence. The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan in co-operation with the National Information-Analytical Center on Drug Control under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been issuing the information bulletin on the Drug Situation in Central Asia on a yearly basis since 2003. Data presented in publications are provided by the state drug control agencies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and include official statistical, analytical and legislative information.
