1998/1999 yearbook of the Representative on Freedom of the Media

In this issue: Facilitating voting in Kosovo, the Transdniestrian settlement process, good economic governance, digital media freedom.

This issue features articles on the Vienna Document 2011, the Open Skies Treaty, and civil society activists from Mediterranean Partner countries.

This new OSCE-publication covers the problem of youth and football violence in Serbia. It's making was supported by the Police Academy and the Interior Ministry of Serbia. It is based on a survey conducted in 25 secondary schools throughout Serbia on a sample of 3662 pupils. The survey addressed issues of football hooliganism, awareness of young people, involvement in fan groups, delinquent behaviour, alcohol and drugs abuse, and linkages to racism. This publication is produced only in Serbian. The English version is a courtesy translation.

From traditional to online media: Best practices and perspectives is a compilation of all presentations given at the 14th Central Asia Media Conference, organized by the Representative’s office, which brought together international and local experts from five Central Asian participating States of the OSCE. This publication is designed to serve as a record of the events of that conference and is intended for journalists, government and regulatory officials and students.
