The Special Prosecutor's Office (SPO) was established by Parliament of North Macedonia in September 2015, pursuant to an EU-brokered political agreement to overcome the political crisis that arose following the 2015 wiretap scandal. The report follows the first interim report published in August 2018, covering the establishment of the Special Prosecutor’s Office and the developments of its cases up to the confirmation of the indictment stage. The second report, resulting from OSCE Mission to Skopje's trial monitoring observations, covers twenty cases in which the SPO filed indictments by its statutory deadline of 30 June 2017.

This report is the result of the OSCE Mission to Serbia’s efforts to monitor the peer elections of prosecutors to the State Prosecutors’ Council (SPC), conducted from October to December 2020. The Serbian non-governmental organization YUCOM served as an implementing partner in monitoring the election. Activities included: monitoring peer elections across Serbia; analysing the underlying legal framework; and interviewing prosecutors who participated in the process.

Hate-motivated incidents are often violent manifestations of intolerance which instil fear and divide communities. Tackling underlying prejudice is essential in combating the spread of these divisive actions. The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina supports the work of government institutions, the criminal justice system, local authorities and civil society to effectively respond to these incidents. The 'Hate Monitor' provides a monthly update on incidents and responses throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With its conference “10 Years of Combating Discrimination in BiH“, which took place on the 21 and 22 March 2019 in Sarajevo, and on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21 March), the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (the Mission) marked the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination (the Law). The Conference document offers reccommendations for all relevant legal practitioners in the area, including the Human Rights Ombudsman Institutions, Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees as well as judicial professionals on the matter.
