Working with a network of local journalists, media outlets, government and civil society experts, the Office encourages a wide public discussion on Kazakhstan’s media legislation, and supports efforts to reform it. It also holds training courses for journalists on a variety of issues, including economic and environmental security; human rights; the ethics of covering terrorism in the media; investigative journalism; and the use of new technological tools.
