Presidential Election, 22 April and 6 May 2012, France
- Following a preliminary invitation from the Permanent Representation of France to the OSCE to observe the 2012 presidential election, ODIHR undertook a Needs Assessment Mission, which noted that most previous recommendations remain unaddressed. As no major changes to the electoral and legal framework have taken place since the 2007 presidential election, it was concluded that an observation activity would not add significant value in the current context.

Early Parliamentary Elections, 6 May 2012, Greece
- Following an official invitation from the Permanent Mission of Greece to the OSCE, the OSCE/ODIHR deployed an Election Assessment Mission (EAM) to observe the 6 May early parliamentary elections.

- Following an invitation from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, OSCE/ODIHR deployed on 22 March 2012 an Election Observation Mission (EOM) for the 6 May 2012 parliamentary elections.

Early Parliamentary Elections, 10 March 2012, Slovakia
- In December 2011, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic invited ODIHR to observe the 10 March early parliamentary elections. Following a Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) to the Slovak Republic from 23 to 26 January 2012, the OSCE/ODIHR NAM did not recommend an election-related activity for the 2012 early parliamentary elections.
