Promoting good governance at border crossings, improving the security of land transportation and facilitating international transport by road and rail in the OSCE region, Vienna, 1-2 February 2010.

The theme of the 18th Meeting of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum is "Promoting good governance at border crossings, improving the security of land transportation and facilitating international transport by road and rail in the OSCE region".

The Economic and Environmental Forum is the main annual event of the OSCE's economic and environmental activities. The event gives political impetus to dialogue in this area and contributes to recommendations and follow-up activities.

The Forum will take place in two segments: the first part from 1 to 2 February 2010 in Vienna and the second part from 24 to 26 May 2010 in Prague.

A first expert level preparatory conference for the Forum took place in Astana on 12 and 13 October 2009 and a second preparatory conference is planned in Minsk, from 15-16 March 2010.
