Building Bridges Fund continues with school grants in 2015
SKOPJE, 5 March 2015 – The OSCE-supported “Building Bridges Fund”, launched in 2014, continues this year with an open call for grants for municipalities, students, teachers, parents and schools that plan to organize joint activities involving students from all communities and different languages of instruction.
“Building Bridges” is a joint effort by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Swiss Embassy and the OSCE Mission to Skopje that seeks to increase interaction, understanding and integration in the school environment.
The “Building Bridges” already supported joint activities involving all communities in more than 60 schools around the country, confirming that cultural and linguistic diversity can be an extraordinary asset if channels for communication and exchange exist between communities.
The application deadlines for regular grants, up to 7,000 Euros are set for 15 March, 1 May and 1 October 2015, while applications for rapid grants of up to 1,500 Euros can be submitted anytime by all interested schools and municipalities.
Further information on the grants and conditions, as well as short and simple application forms in seven local languages, can be downloaded from the Education Ministry’s website.
