The OSCE report ‘Handling of Terrorism Cases by the Kosovo Criminal Justice System’ covers the period 2018 to 2020 and examines data gathered by the OSCE trial monitoring team in more than 50 cases categorized as terrorism related. The report also includes a comprehensive overview of the legal framework for terrorism cases and assesses the extent to which Kosovo law and policy is in line with international standards. The report aims to support legal practitioners to maintain the highest standards of professionalism in this challenging area of law and policy.

The OSCE report ‘The Right to Effective Representation in Criminal Proceedings and the Ex Officio Appointment System’ provides insight into standards of criminal defence representation and the functioning of the ex officio appointment system in Kosovo. The report covers the period 2020 to 2021, and uses surveys with legal practitioners together with findings from OSCE trial monitoring to assess some of the challenges and barriers to effective criminal defence representation in Kosovo.

The OSCE report “Protection of Cultural Heritage in Kosovo” provides insight into the policy, legal and administrative frameworks of cultural heritage protection. The report analyses the close interconnectivity between heritage protection, security, infrastructure and spatial planning issues. Specific features of heritage protection in Kosovo, such as the Special Protective Zones (SPZs) and the Implementation and Monitoring Council (IMC), are also assessed. The report formulates recommendations to enhance the existing legislation and to improve the structural conditions in the field of heritage identification, preservation and promotion.

The Guide emphasizes the equal rights of women and men to enjoy their property and inheritance rights and is accompanied by a Women's Access to Property and Inheritance Rights in Kosovo.

The objective of the “Guide for Social Service Officers in Assisting Victims of Domestic Violence” is to assist social service providers in treating victims and survivors of domestic violence with a victim-centered approach. Social service providers identify incidents of domestic violence, assist the victims and survivors in coping and recovering from the trauma they have experienced, explain the options available to victims and survivors so that they can make an informed decision about what next steps to take. The guide is drafted based on international and domestic standards and policies on prevention of domestic violence.
