Тhis Analysis is supported by the OSCE Mission to Skopje, and has been developed in co-operation with the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors with an aim to support the Academy in the process of proper planning and in establishing development priorities. This Analysis of the current state of affairs, accompanied by an empirical research, offers numerous findings and recommendations that build upon other strategic documents, researches and recommendations in relation to the judiciary in North Macedonia and of relevance to the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors.

A new UNESCO and ODIHR co-publication takes up the challenge of educating learners to resist contemporary anti-Semitism at a time when the issue is becoming ever more crucial around the world. It suggests concrete ways to address anti-Semitism, counter prejudice and promote tolerance through education, by designing programmes based on a human rights framework, global citizenship education, inclusiveness and gender equality. It also provides policymakers with tools and guidance to ensure that education systems build the resilience of young people to anti-Semitic ideas and ideologies, violent extremism and all forms of intolerance and discrimination, through critical thinking and respect for others.

This guide lays out practical steps that governments are recommended to take to address the security needs of Jewish communities in co-operation and partnership with these same communities. The guide is designed to help governments take stock of security risks and needs with the goal of improving the capacity of law-enforcement officials and institutions to address the security needs of Jewish communities. In addition, this guide deals with related issues, such as the problem of the underreporting and recording of anti-Semitic hate crimes.

On 26 October 2018 in Nur-Sultan, the OSCE Programme Office in Nur-Sultan jointly with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Kazakhstan Council on International Relations, with support from the Institute of Diplomacy under the Academy of Public Administration and the Public Opinion Research Institute co-organized an international conference entitled “New Challenges and Approaches to Regional and Global Security in Central Asia”. This compendium, which includes presentations given at the conference by both Kazakhstan’s and foreign participants, explores main regional security threats in Central Asia and ways to address these problems, as well as regional co-operation issues in responding to contemporary challenges. The edition will be of interest to political scientists, international relations experts, civil servants, scholars, educators, university-level students, and broad sections of the public interested in the contemporary development of the region. The edition is published in Russian and English. The paper of Mr. Pal Dunay is written in the English language in the original, the rest of the reports are in Russian. All reports have been translated and edited with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Nur Sultan. Any opinions and recommendations expressed in the materials arising from the conference are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the conference organizers.

This Consolidated Reference aims to inform all personnel of the OSCE, as well as offices, institutions, field missions/presences, and relevant interested organizations, about international and OSCE commitments, projects and programmes related to the prevention and combating of terrorism. The Reference can also be used as an aid in conceptualizing, planning and implementing activities within the general scope of OSCE anti-terrorism goals. (Updated: July 2020)

This guidebook was written to help support policymakers and practitioners who are looking to develop rehabilitation and reintegration programs outside the prison setting. It considers not only released former offenders but also those who have been associated with terrorism but not convicted of crimes, and addresses in particular, the role of non-government actors. It is written especially with the countries of South-Eastern Europe in mind and provides a critical resource to help guide the development of policy and practice.
