This report evaluates progress made in mainstreaming gender issues in OSCE structures and the working environment. Reporting period: 1 January 2015- 31 December 2015.

The joint OSCE/ODIHR and Venice Commission Guidelines on Freedom of Association aim to offer advice and expertise on how to legislate on freedom of association-related matters, in a manner that is compliant with international human rights standards and OSCE commitments. They also reflect evolving good state practices, and are intended to enhance awareness of the above right in general. They will offer a practical toolkit to legislators tasked with drafting laws which regulate or affect associations, but also to associations, members of associations and human rights defenders, to support advocacy in this field of human rights law.

The report provides an overview of the police-related programmes and projects implemented by the OSCE executive structures, including the thematic units of the Secretariat, the institutions and the field operations. In his Preface, Secretary General Lamberto Zannier notes: “The OSCE’s engagement in police-related activities is more crucial than ever at a time in which the OSCE region is exposed to multiple security challenges that range from instability and armed conflict to violent extremism and terrorism, organized crime and trafficking in arms, drugs and human beings.” This year’s report, in its completely new design and structure, better aligns the types and categories of activities with recently adopted OSCE decisions and makes the report more user-friendly for all stakeholders.

This methodology study on how to conduct an anti-corruption assessment is designed for Tajik governmental experts. The study aims to provide an assessment and a comparative analysis of legal acts for corruption risk factors and is drafted based on numerous consultations with the relevant Tajik authorities and legislation.

This is the 9th Report produced by the OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (SR/CTHB) according to the requirements of OSCE Ministerial Council Decision No. 13/05 on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings. This report provides a summary of the wide range of activities carried out by the Office from 1 March, 2014 to 1 September, 2015, with additional sections that focus on the work of the OSCE’s executive structures and field operations.

The research was conducted within the framework of the ““International Press-Center "Dialogue": Diversification of the Sources of International News for the Armenian Media” project, implemented by “Region” Research Center, with the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan. It is based on the media study intended to find out what possibilities the Armenian media have to receive and process foreign political information against the current internationally active developments and sometimes dramatic processes. The study also aimed to describe the geography of the international newsfeed, as well as the forms of their provision and thematic foci, as related either to the foreign policy preferences of this or that media outlet, or simply to their creative and other capacity.

Forty years after its signing, the Helsinki Final Act remains the defining document that guides the work of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. This publication includes a historical timeline as well as spotlights on the different entities that make up the Organization in 2015.
