The OSCE report “Protection of Cultural Heritage in Kosovo” provides insight into the policy, legal and administrative frameworks of cultural heritage protection. The report analyses the close interconnectivity between heritage protection, security, infrastructure and spatial planning issues. Specific features of heritage protection in Kosovo, such as the Special Protective Zones (SPZs) and the Implementation and Monitoring Council (IMC), are also assessed. The report formulates recommendations to enhance the existing legislation and to improve the structural conditions in the field of heritage identification, preservation and promotion.
