OSCE Programme Office in Kyrgyzstan helps build capacity of parliamentary staff
On 27 and 28 May, thirty civil servants of the administration of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan underwent the first training course in a series of capacity-building exercises in Bishkek. The training course aims to further develop analytical skills that are essential in collecting, processing, and conducting analysis of strategic documents and reports for policy formulation.
Participants also acquired practical skills on using SWOT and PEST analyses, theory of change, data collection and the systemization of indicators in relation to monitoring and evaluation.
Alexander Eliseev, Head of the Programme Office’s Politico-Military Department, noted that the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek would continue providing support in building the capacity of civil servants, therefore, contributing to the effectiveness of Parliament and strengthening democratic governance in the country.
The series of training courses are organized within the framework of strengthening democratic governance in Kyrgyzstan with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek and in close co-operation with the Public Foundation Civic Platform.
