OSCE concludes green technology workshops for women entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan
The last in a series of three OSCE-supported training seminars for women entrepreneurs to promote the use of green technologies took place on 18 May 2017 in Kostanai, Kazakhstan.
The training seminar, organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Astana in close co-operation with the public association the Coalition for Green Economy and G-Global Development, brought together some 25 participants from rural areas of the Kostanai Region.
The event aimed at raising awareness of women entrepreneurs in opening and running their own businesses through the use of green technologies. It is a follow-up to last year’s seminars on the use of modern environmentally-friendly and clean technologies in horticulture held at the Green Technology Transfer Centre in Arnasai, a village near Astana.
The event is part of the OSCE Programme Office’s continuous efforts to promote green growth, environmental security and women’s empowerment in economic activities.
