The Annual Security Review Conference (ASRC) provides a framework for enhancing security dialogue and for reviewing security work undertaken by the OSCE. It provides participating States with an opportunity to exchange views on issues related to the politico-military dimension of security and to promote the exchange of information and co-operation with relevant international and regional organizations and institutions.
Participants of the three-day event will focus on dialogue, ownership and responsibility to foster security in the OSCE area.
High-level experts and diplomats will address a broad range of topics related to the wide spectrum of politico-military security in the OSCE region. Topics of the conference include: conflict and crisis situations in the OSCE area; lessons learned and the way ahead in addressing the conflict cycle; conventional arms control and confidence- and security-building measures; challenges and opportunities arising from migration; and current and future trends regarding transnational threats. Moreover, two special sessions will be devoted to: ensuring security and stability in the OSCE region in light of developments with respect to Ukraine; and the Structured Dialogue, a process that explores new ways of addressing politico-military challenges and reversing the negative trends in the European security architecture.
This page will be regularly updated with the public documents and updates from the conference. See also the Media Advisory for this event.
