OSCE Centre helps train prosecutors on project management in Kazakhstan
A four-day training seminar on more efficient and transparent project management for more than 20 middle-level staff of Kazakhstan’s Prosecutor General’s Office began on 2 May 2014 in Astana.
The train-the-trainers event, co-organised by the OSCE Centre in Astana and the Institute of Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan, was tailored to the practical needs of the staff of Prosecutor General’s Office. It aims to enhance their professional knowledge and skills in dealing with or assessing criminal cases linked with projects, the implementation of which raises suspicions of mismanagement, corruption or embezzlement of funds.
The course focuses on the application of project management methodology for the purposes of fighting corruption, boosting transparency and accountability. It is part of the Centre’s long-term efforts to strengthen economic security and mitigate organized crime.
