OSCE supports conference in Ukraine on administrative justice
An international conference on the impact of administrative justice for the development of public law started on 29 November 2012 in Kyiv with support from the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine (PCU).
The two-day event gathered around 250 legal scholars from Eastern Europe, the CIS countries, France, Germany, Lithuania and the United States to share experience in developing administrative justice as well as discuss challenges in identifying administrative jurisdiction, judicial practice in reviewing administrative disputes and the role of the European Court of Human Rights in the development of public law.
Organized by the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine, the conference is supported by the PCU, the United States Agency for International Development FAIR Justice project and the German Foundation for International Technical Co-operation.
The conference is part of a PCU project aimed at enhancing the coherence of administrative court practice in Ukraine, implemented on the request of the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine, with support from the German Government.
The event is dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine.
