The OSCE Mission to Skopje will support a specialized training session on “Public Relations on Counter-Terrorism” for 20 police officers starting on 1 October 2012 at the Police Training Center in Idrizovo, Skopje.
The course is initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoIA) and is supported by the OSCE Mission to Skopje in co-operation with the Counter-Terrorism Academy of the Turkish National Police (TEMAK).
During the five-day training, 20 police officers from the Interior Ministry's Administration for Security and Counter-Intelligence Unit will develop their knowledge of the relationship between combating terrorism and public relations. Thus, they will be able to enhance their ability to effectively communicate with the public in this area.
The training falls under Mission's 2012 activities dedicated to strengthening the structure of the MoIA and its capacity to deal with transnational threats, especially in the fight against organized crime and terrorism.
