OSCE mission to organize peace and stability marathon between Skopje and Tetovo

SKOPJE, 13 May 2003 - The annual "Blossom Run", a team relay race covering 42.2 kilometres from Tetovo to Skopje, will be held for the seventh time on Sunday, 18 May.
Organized by the OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje, the competition involves teams of all ages and abilities. Each team will consist of 20 participants covering approximately two kilometres each. Symbolically uniting Tetovo and Skopje, the race has been run in most years since 1995.
With this event, the OSCE Mission wishes to celebrate the country's continued progress towards peace and normality.
All proceeds from the event, contributed by the teams together with donations from sponsors will be given to two local charities. This year the chosen charities are the Association of the Parents of children suffering from Cerebral Palsy and the Association of the Blind or their equivalent associations in either Tetovo or Skopje.
As in the past, the OSCE Mission espects participation by State Institutions, businesses, the international community as well as the sporting fraternity and citizens of the country.
