OSCE Mission to Skopje launches manual on Roma individuals lacking identity documents

Raising awareness on lack of identity documents within the Roma community is the focus of a manual launched by the OSCE Mission to Skopje, in co-operation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and Ministry of Internal Affairs, in Strumica on 27 February 2015.

The manual and accompanying flyers are designed to raise awareness and generate fruitful discussion on this issue.

The OSCE Mission to Skopje is promoting awareness in the police service on the security aspects of Roma citizens lacking identity documents, while at the same time encouraging better understanding with the police in areas of common concern.

This is the first of eight campaigns on this issue which will be held in each Sector of the Internal Affairs Ministry across the country.
