OSCE-supported NGO Network “Open Day: Working together” held in Struga
With the support of the OSCE Mission to Skopje, the “Open Day: Working together” was held in Struga on 1 December 2014 to introduce regional activities of a locally-based NGO Network.
At the Open Day, the NGO Network introduced the public-police partnership and presented many aspects of their work and the communities they represent, including an opportunity for young students attending high schools in Struga to familiarise themselves with the work and volunteering opportunities of the participating NGOs.
In 2014, the OSCE Mission to Skopje reached out to Ohrid and Struga based NGOs to come together in supporting a common goal: community security.
In co-operation with the Ohrid Sector of Internal Affairs, the municipalities and their local representatives, the NGO Network addressed a broad spectrum of community concerns, such as ethnic and religion seclusion, domestic violence and socio-economic crime.
