OSCE Mission to Skopje trains legal and law enforcement practitioners on criminal justice

More than 190 judges, prosecutors, attorneys and police officials will receive practical advanced training on particular concepts of the criminal procedure in 2014. The training, the first session of which takes place on 20 March 2014, is organized by the OSCE Mission to Skopje with the aim of strengthening the professionalism, efficiency and transparency of justice.
“With our activities we aim to ensure full application of rule of law and fair trial, and most importantly, to enhance public trust in the judiciary in order to preserve security and long-lasting stability,” said Head of the OSCE Mission to Skopje, Ambassador Ralf Breth.
The new Law on Criminal Procedure came into force on 1 December 2013. This year’s advanced training cycle will continue to serve as a forum enabling practitioners to discuss and find solutions to anticipated practical obstacles.
