The OSCE Mission to Skopje, in co-operation with the Interior Ministry and the French Embassy in Skopje, is training 30 police officers from the Ministry’s Special Units Department on crowd management.
During the five-day course, which starts on 15 April 2013, the police officers will learn how to better respond to security challenges, while at the same time respecting human rights and civil liberties, at large public events.
The course, which aims to strengthen the technical and operational capacities of the Ministry’s Training and Support Unit, will be led by two French experts from the Direction Centrale des Compagnies Républicaines de Sécurité (CRS) of the French National Police.
