OSCE Mission to Serbia supports workshop on change management for Serbian Interior Ministry
BELGRADE, 12 May 2011 – Seventeen mid-level and senior police managers from the Serbian Ministry of Interior completed a four-day training course on change management and policymaking in Belgrade today.
The workshop, facilitated by the OSCE Mission to Serbia and the Interior Ministry’s Bureau for Strategic Planning, was designed to provide police managers with the knowledge and skills to create and implement police and security-related policies.
“A modern police service should provide their police managers with state-of-the-art tools to lead change. The Interior Ministry, through its 2011-2016 Development Strategy, has proven its readiness to respond to modern needs,” said Camille Massey, a Strategic Planning Adviser at the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
“This training course increases police professionalism and provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage organisational change through the implementation of public policies, particularly in the context of police reform in Serbia,” said Drazen Maravic, the Head of the Ministry’s Bureau for Strategic Planning.
Instructors from Science Po Paris led the workshop training, while the Government of France provided financial support.
