OSCE Mission to hold conference in Belgrade on anti-corruption standards
BELGRADE, 19 September 2005 - The OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro will tomorrow hold a conference on anti-corruption standards in Belgrade.
The event, "Promoting incorporation of international anti-corruption standards into Serbian legislation", is jointly organized with the Serbian Ministry of Justice and the Stability Pact Anti-Corruption Initiative/Regional Secretariat Liaison Office with financial support from the French Government.
It will bring together representatives of the Serbian Government and Parliament, of various anti-corruption institutions, representatives of the Republic of Montenegro, as well as international organizations, the private sector, NGOs, foreign experts and media members.
The conference will focus on international anti-corruption standards and best practices in the field, and will identify areas in the Serbian legislation which require further improvement.
Serbian Prime Minister,Vojislav Kostunica, and Minister of Justice, Zoran Stojkovic, the Ambassador of the France to Serbia and Montenegro, Hugues Pernet, and the Head of the OSCE Mission, Ambassador Maurizio Massari will attend the conference.
Media representatives are invited to the opening of the event from 9.00 to 10.45 on Tuesday, 20 September at the Sava Center (Congress hall III/0), in Belgrade.
