Report on the social and economic impact of drug trafficking in Serbia and Montenegro
In the middle of the Balkans, Serbia has been a transit country along a drug trafficking route between the Middle East and Western and Eastern Europe.
Serbia has faced not only a difficult political situation in the last decade, but also economic and social concerns resulting from conflict in the region, international sanctions, political instability and other factors.
In light of Serbia and Montenegro's EU accession processes, this report addresses practical initiatives and suggestions aimed at combating trafficking in drugs.
