This toolbox is created to support the integration of youth perspectives in a systematic and practical manner, strengthening the democratic principle OSCE Mission to Serbia is nurturing: “nothing about youth, without youth”. Guidelines for youth mainstreaming contains practical tools for everyday operationalization of youth inclusion principle. In addition to theoretical framework on youth policies, it’s content is divided in three modes: Enthusiast, Hero and All-star, representing different layers of possible interventions throughout project cycle management and on a strategic level.

Ombuds institutions provide independent oversight of the armed forces by handling complaints, conducting investigations, issuing reports and developing recommendations. Their fundamental purpose is to protect the rights and well-being of armed forces personnel and in this way improve the effectiveness of the military.

Across the OSCE region, a growing recognition of widespread discrimination against LGBTI service members is resulting in greater efforts to protect their rights. LGBTI people have historically been banned from serving in the armed forces of many OSCE participating States.

In co-operation with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, the OSCE Mission supported a research exploring citizens’ perceptions of personal data protection. The research was conducted in October and November 2020 and included 1217 respondents from Serbia.
