The purpose of the report,commissioned by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), was to identify patterns of structural, cultural and direct violence against women in politics, backed by personal experience of respondents, to analyze public and media discourse relating to women politicians and provide factual basis for further analyses and action in addressing violence against women in politics. The OSCE Mission to Serbia supported publishing of the report.

Intolerance against Muslims in any form — be it violence, discrimination, harassment or online abuse — has a detrimental effect on the lives of Muslim individuals and communities. This Guide is designed to aid governments in their actions on preventing and combating hate crimes including by an analysis of security risks and the necessary actions required, with the aim of improving the capacity of the police and other institutions to meet the security needs of Muslim communities and individuals. It also touches on select topics, such as the underreporting and under-recording of hate crimes against Muslims. In addition, the Guide sets out practical steps that governments can take to address issues of security for Muslim communities, which work in tandem with the efforts within these same communities.

Climate change can impact security in a number of ways. The OSCE raises awareness, facilitates the identification and mapping of potential security risks stemming from climate change, and helps in addressing these risks through participatory approaches. The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) in partnership with the Berlin-based think tank adelphi, has embarked in 2020 on an extensive regional consultation process on climate change and security in South-Eastern Europe, which engaged representatives of governmental bodies, civil society organizations, academia from the region as well as regional and international organizations. This report outlines the results of this consultation process: potential climate-related security risks, shared hotspots, regional challenges, and co-operation opportunities.
