A new UNESCO and ODIHR co-publication takes up the challenge of educating learners to resist contemporary anti-Semitism at a time when the issue is becoming ever more crucial around the world. It suggests concrete ways to address anti-Semitism, counter prejudice and promote tolerance through education, by designing programmes based on a human rights framework, global citizenship education, inclusiveness and gender equality. It also provides policymakers with tools and guidance to ensure that education systems build the resilience of young people to anti-Semitic ideas and ideologies, violent extremism and all forms of intolerance and discrimination, through critical thinking and respect for others.

A comprehensive training manual for law enforcement on combating human trafficking that targets prosecutors, police, judges, border guards, and labour inspectors. It was prepared by four national experts as part of a multi-year regional project implemented by the OSCE Office in Yerevan in co-operation with the International Labour Organization, and funded by European Union. This publication seeks to provide guidance to military commanders and policymakers within ministries of defence and general staff of the armed forces on a trauma-informed and human rights-compliant response to sexual assault. It intends to unpack some of the prevailing myths surrounding sexual assault within the military and how these hinder effective reporting and, thus, the ability of military systems to address sexual violence. This guide also highlights key considerations necessary for establishing trauma-informed policy and response within the military.

The Guide was developed by the Regional Aarhus Centre Subotica with the Mission’s assistance in order to address lack of knowledge on the content and rights defined by the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) among the civil society and business community. The bilingual Guide (in Serbian and Hungarian) provides guidelines to the rights for public engagement and other legal requirements related to practical implementation of the Law and is intended primarily for citizens, journalists, CSOs but also for investors and representatives of local authorities.

This booklet provides guidance to municipal officials on how to better assist repatriated persons. It focuses on reintegration of repatriated persons in their places of origin.

In 2009-2010 the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports in conjunction with the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine implemented a pilot project entitled “Enhancement of Anti-Trafficking National Referral Mechanism in Ukraine”. This publication contains materials produced within the project implementation in two pilot regions – Donetsk and Chernivtsi, in which the mechanism of co-operation between various state offices and nongovernmental offices, including the provision of assistance to human trafficking victims, was tested. This experience was further used as a reference source for the development of a nationwide victims referral mechanism (NRM). Available in Ukrainian only.

The catalogue provides communities members in Kosovo with information on what they can do to address concerns relating to the upholding of their fundamental rights, whom to approach and how to make a complaint if they feel their rights have been violated. It covers as many different areas of concern as possible, from how to tackle discrimination based on sex and gender, through the police harassment based on ones community identity, to how to ensure that the name of a village is properly spelt in all languages on a road sign.

The guidebook on “A Whole-of-Society Approach to Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism and Radicalization That Lead to Terrorism- A Guidebook for Central Asia” is one in a series of technical guidebooks produced by the Transnational Threat Department/ Action against Terrorism Unit and focuses on the challenges in developing and implementing effective programmes to prevent and counter VERLT in Central Asia. This volume aims to support policy makers in the region in the development and implementation of effective and relevant P/CVERLT strategies while strengthening the co-operation among government sectors and civil society actors.
