OSCE supports Tajikistan’s Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defence to organize training in Bokhtar
The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (POiD) provided support to the Republican Training and Methodological Centre (RTMC) of the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defence in conducting a training course in Bokhtar from 24 to 26 September 2024. The course was attended by 20 participants, including six women and 14 men, who were branch heads and instructors from various districts of the Bokhtar region.
The training aimed to enhance their understanding of the updated curricula and methodological guides, which were revised by the RTMC and printed with the assistance of POiD. Additionally, the RTMC instructors offered guidance to the regional participants on integrating these changes into their educational work plan to enhance the teaching process. This event marked the first training course organized by POiD this year, with two more similar training courses scheduled to take place in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and Sughd.
The activity aligns with the strategic objectives of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 and Tajikistan’s Mid-term State Programme for the Protection of Population and Territories from Emergency Situations for 2023-2028.
