OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe holds training on human rights

A four-day training retreat for civil society, social workers and lawyers working with ill-treatment victims concluded on 30 August 2017 in Bahoriston, Sughd region. A similar training was conducted in Nurek from 21 to 24 August 2017.
The training courses, organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, provided the participants with theoretical knowledge about psychological effects of torture and trauma consequences. A large part of the two four-day courses was devoted to developing practical skills, including how to protect oneself from secondary trauma.
The courses were delivered by experienced psychologists.
