VIENNA, 15 June 2022- Addressing current challenges related to human trafficking and implementing international commitments, policies, and standards set forth by the OSCE and the Council of Europe’s Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings were the focus of the largest annual gathering of national anti-trafficking co-ordinators and rapporteurs.

CHISINAU, 07 June 2022 – OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Valiant Richey, visited the Republic of Moldova to support the implementation of the recommendations his Office issued to reduce the risks of human trafficking.

VIENNA, 3 June 2022 – Following-up on discussions held at the Stockholm Ministerial Council, participants at today’s special OSCE Asian Partners for Co-operation Group discussion looked into several aspects of a framework for a response to the implications of Afghanistan for the OSCE region. The meeting was convened by the Swedish Chair of the Group. It particularly highlighted gender-related aspects of the regional consequences of developments in Afghanistan, and how the situation in Afghanistan has affected young women and men in Central Asia.

VIENNA, 30 May 2022 – Participants emphasised the essential need for co-operation to tackle rapidly intensifying climate-related challenges and risks, and build a more resilient and sustainable future at the OSCE Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation Group meeting that took place in Vienna today.

VIENNA/WARSAW, 25 May 2022- OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Poland Zbigniew Rau and OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid today reiterated their condemnation of persistent allegations against the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) and called for the immediate release of four national Mission members detained in Donetsk and Luhansk.

Strengthening protection of Ukrainian children against any form of violence, including trafficking, was the focus of the roundtable organized on 20 May 2022 by the Office of the OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Violence against Children, with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.
