Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco
Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco from Italy took office as the Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania on 16 November 2020.
He has served for 23 years in Italy’s diplomatic service. Before joining the Presence in Albania, Ambassador Del Monaco was Ambassador of Italy to Armenia, and prior to that Ambassador of Italy to Montenegro. He also served in Beijing; in Brussels, at the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU; and in the cabinet of the diplomatic advisor to Italy’s former President Giorgio Napolitano.
He graduated in Law with honours from La Sapienza University of Rome, holds a Master of Laws degree in High European Legal Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, and a diploma from the École Nationale d'Administration.
Ambassador Del Monaco is awarded with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic (Commendatore), the French Légion d’Honneur (Chévalier), and the Order of the Montenegrin Flag (second rank).
He speaks Italian, English and French. He is married and has three children.
