About
Sweden will host the 2022 OSCE Asian Conference, which will be held in blended format in Hofburg/Vienna and online via Zoom. The conference will focus on: “Common responses to emerging challenges in advancing comprehensive security”. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss options for strengthened co-operation with particular focus on the role of women in building confidence, peace and security, climate‑related challenges to security, and the role of civil society.
The OSCE Asian Conferences are being organized since 2000 and constitute an annual forum for the 57 OSCE participating States and the Asian Partners for Co-operation (Afghanistan, Australia, Japan, Republic of Korea, and Thailand) to discuss and deliberate on security issues relevant to the their long-standing partnership.
