More than 60 representatives of NHRIs, inter-governmental organizations (IGOs), NHRI networks and other regional partners will gather in Warsaw to discuss how to build resilience in their institutions and address threats facing NHRIs.
On the first day, ODIHR will present the results of its 2021 monitoring of threats against NHRIs in the OSCE region and its new Guidance Tool on Strengthening the Resilience of NHRIs. Discussions will focus on building long-term resilience and responding to immediate threats. Participants will share their own experiences, good practices and lessons learned in managing crises and in strengthening their institutions to face potential threats.
On the second day, participants will look at the support provided to NHRIs under threat by IGOs, NHRI networks and other NHRIs (peer support). Participants will be divided into working groups where they will explore and discuss recommendations for stronger cooperation and innovative approaches to supporting each other.
