OSCE/ODIHR Director joins statement calling for better protection of rights defenders

WARSAW, 9 December 2008 - The Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Janez Lenarcic, and four other high-level international human rights representatives issued a joint statement today warning on the persistent challenges facing rights defenders, ten years after the adoption the UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders.
