Objectives
This panel’s diversity will help illustrate the universality, complexity and devastating effect of these horrific crimes against women and girls. It is meant to help improve the public’s understanding of how the many forms of gender-based violence intersect, and how widespread these crimes are.
The survivors’ experiences and insight also demonstrate the severity and harmful nature of gender-based violence, and aim to stimulate discussion on tackling these systemic human rights violations.
