Regional seminar for police and customs officers

Control of precursors for narcotic drugs production is the focus of this regional seminar in Milocer. It is aimed at customs and police officers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia.

The purpose of the seminar is to increase awareness of police and customs officers involved in monitoring and control of precursors for production of narcotic drugs and to increase the level of regional co-operation between police and customs authorities.

Topics to be covered include: role-play on diversion of precursor chemicals, pre-export notifications, identification of suspicious shipments, international surveillance operations, latest trends in trafficking, EU legislation and practices for precursors.

Lectures will be given by Imrich Betko, Drug Control Officer, Precursors Control Section, International Narcotics Control Board; Miodrag Lakovic, Chief of Counter Drugs Department, Police Directorate of Montenegro; and Miroslav Gospodinov, Police Trainer, OSCE Mission to Montenegro.
