OSCE supports meeting of representatives of Albanian and Montenegrin Parliaments in Podgorica

The Parliament of Montenegro, with the support of the OSCE Presence in Albania and the Mission to Montenegro, hosted a visit of the Research Centre and public relations services of the Parliament of Albania on 23 September 2016 in Podgorica, with the aim of goal of strengthening co-operation between the two institutions and enhancing  their activities.  

Representatives of both Parliaments shared their experience, know-how and discussed the daily challenges they face.  

Members of the Montenegrin Parliament presented the structure and activities of country’s Research Centre, Library, public relations department, as well as an overview of their education programmes on democracy.

The Montenegrin Parliament’s workshops on democracy teach primary and secondary school children on the role of Parliament, democracy and human rights.

The Parliament of Montenegro offered its support in developing a similar project to be run by the Albanian Parliament.
