OSCE Mission to Montenegro facilitates public discussion on implementation of Free Access to Information Act
The implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information was the focus of a public discussion organized by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, with support of the Montenegrin Agency for the Protection of Personal Data and Free Access to Information, on 6 November 2014 in Bijelo Polje.
This was the first discussion on the Law implementation since it came into force in 2013. The discussion aimed to raise citizens’ awareness about their right to access information from governmental institutions.
The discussion brought together representatives of civil society, media and state institutions involved in the implementation of the Law.
The Network for the Affirmation of the NGO Sector and the Centre for Democratic Transition presented their experiences of implementing the Law so far.
The project is funded by the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
