Secretary Generals of Albanian and Montenegrin parliaments meet in Podgorica

A bilateral meeting between the Secretary Generals of the Parliament of Montenegro and the Albanian Assembly, supported by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro in co-operation with the OSCE Presence in Albania, took place on 23 February in Podgorica.

The meeting focused on the overall organizational structure of the respective parliaments, examining the administrative services, the legislative systems, the management of legislative information, oversight functions and the transparency of the parliamentary work.

The representatives from the Albanian Assembly were familiarized with the Parliamentary Institute and the civic education programme of the Montenegrin parliament.

The objective of the meeting was to share knowledge, experience and lessons learnt, and to strengthen co-operation and communication between the two neighbouring parliaments. A follow-up meeting was agreed, to be organized in Tirana.
