OSCE-organized training course for parliamentary services held in Podgorica
The OSCE Mission to Montenegro, in co-operation with the parliament’s Department of Human Resources, organized a training course on managing change for parliamentary services on 27 and 28 November in Podgorica.
The course gathered 11 managers with the goal to explore the process of change in the business culture and how best to manage the changes for the benefit of the institution. As an institution with complex and dynamic everyday life, the administration of the Parliament needs to adapt to ever-changing circumstances. In order for this institution to continue growing and keep up with the newest trends in modern parliamentary practice, it is of great importance for the managers and employees to learn about necessary changes, and how to identify and manage changes in the daily work.
The participants learned about change theory and in an interactive exchange, explored practical examples of the phases of organizational change, how to motivate employees to accept change and how project management can be a tool for managing change. Defining key performance indicators and their use in managing processes and business culture were also part of this training course.
This was the fourth and the last in the series of training workshops organized with the goal of strengthening the development of a sustainable and modern parliamentary service, and increasing the level of professionalism and efficiency.
