British Foreign Minister meets Albanian leaders with KVM Head of Mission

PRISTINA, 30 January 1999 - The U.K. Foreign Minister, Mr. Robin Cook, representing the Contact Group, will meet today with leaders of the Albanian community in Kosovo.
The meetings will take place in Skopje not in Pristina as planned. The airport here is closed due to bad weather. Mr. Cook, accompanied by the KVM Head of Mission, Ambassador William G. Walker, will arrive at Skopje Airport at 16.15 and will immediately proceed to the Alexander Palace Hotel. Meetings with the Albanian leaders, including Mr. Ibrahim Rugova and Mr. Adem Demaci, will take place in the hotel.
Mr. Cook will meet the press at the Alexander Palace Hotel around 18.00, maybe a little later.
Media representatives will be told where the press conference will take place in the hotel as they arrive.
Mr. Cook and the KVM Head of Mission will leave Skopje to go back to London immediately after the press conference.
