Kosovo Law Centre provides computer training to students
PRISTINA 28 November 2000
PRISTINA, 28 November 2000 - In order to provide law students with the possibility to have adequate computer practice and training, the Kosovo Law Centre (KLC) will begin a computer class at Pristina University Law Faculty on 29 October 2000. Staff members of the Kosovo Law Centre will be providing computer instruction for the Law Faculty students each working day for two hours.
During the last school year, the international donor community provided the Pristina University Law Faculty with the equipment needed for the Faculty management and the establishment of the computer class. In spring 2000, the Law Faculty administration repaired the premises for this class and equipped it. This class was supposed to meet the needs of the students. It included the possibility of computer training and assistance for the preparations of all written works needed for their studies. The beginning of the computer class was delayed, so, as an interim solution, the Kosovo Law Centre has offered the capacity of its own staff to make this very needed facility available.
For the past six months, the KLC, a non-governmental organization established by the OSCE, has been working closely with the Faculty of Law of the University of Pristina to enhance its capacity through curriculum reform, development of its library and by facilitating access to scholarships for students of law.
