Media, in all its forms, are involved in selecting, constructing and representing the reality. In this regard, the image and representation of gender roles has long been a subject of concern. Constantly polarized gender messages have a fundamentally negative impact on how the society views women and men.
Join the second OSCE Dialogue Café, taking place in Ferizaj/Uroševac on 17 November 2016, to learn more about gendered media and what can we do about it, and to discuss ways to prevent and challenge the stereotypes portrayed in the media.
The OSCE Dialogue Café, is created by young women from Prishtinë/Priština and Belgrade, alumni of the OSCE Dialogue Academy for Young Women, and supported by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo.
The speakers will be:
• Artan Murati, Senior Researcher at Kosova Democratic Institute
• Jeta Berisha, Project manager at Artpolis – Art and Communities
Free drinks will be provided on first come - first serve basis for those attending.
