Confiscation of journalists’ equipment in Prishtinë/Priština reason for concern, OSCE media freedom representative says

VIENNA, 16 September 2016 – OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović expressed serious concern about the reported confiscation of equipment and deletion of recorded footage taken by Russian journalist Oksana Sazonova and Ukrainian journalist Sergey Belous in Prishtinë/Priština.
According to media reports, the journalists, who work for the news outlet News Front, were detained on Thursday, 15 September, in Hoçë e Madhe/Velika Hoča and transferred to Prishtinë/Priština.
“Confiscating journalists' equipment and deleting footage is an excessive act,” Mijatović said.
