VIENNA, 10 July 2013 – The OSCE media freedom representative, Dunja Mijatović, today discussed the draft Law on Media and Audiovisual Services with the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Ivo Ivanovski who arrived in Vienna from Skopje today.
During the full day meeting the Minister and expert working group on the law discussed all provisions highlighted as problematic in a recent legal review by the Office of the Representative on Freedom of the Media.

We appreciate the support from the OSCE Office of the Representative and I look forward to a continued co-operation.”
“I am glad that we were able to discuss and resolve all issues that we considered problematic. The drafting process of this law has been followed closely by my Office and I am very pleased that the Minister initiated this meeting. I use this opportunity to call upon the country’s journalists’ association to urgently re-engage in public consultations on the draft law as their opinion is important”, said Mijatović.
