SARAJEVO 18 February 2014
SARAJEVO, 18 February 2014 - Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Western Balkans Ambassador Gerard Stoudmann today called on authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to urgently engage in a meaningful dialogue with citizens – including recently created citizens’ forums (plenums) - to address some of their pressing social and economic demands.
Stoudmann, who is visiting the country to conduct a series of meeting with the authorities and representatives of civil society, youth and the international community, stressed the importance of peaceful protest and called upon all sides to act with restraint.
“The OSCE is ready to facilitate dialogue and provide expertise as appropriate and if requested,” he stressed.
