21st IPRM meeting takes place in Ergneti
ERGNETI, 20 March 2012 - The 21st meeting under the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) took place in Ergneti today. The meeting was co-facilitated by the EU Monitoring Mission and the OSCE.
Participants reviewed recent incidents and detentions, and the fate of missing persons. It was agreed to have further discussions about the issue of safety measures to deal with agricultural works. Freedom of movement, in particular access to religious sites over the Easter period was raised.
The meeting was held in a businesslike atmosphere.
It was agreed that the next meeting will take place on 30 April 2012.
The Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms were established under the Geneva International Discussions, which are co-chaired by the OSCE, the EU and the UN.
